The Temple of Kom Ombo was constructed during the Ptolemaic dynasty, 180–47 BC. There were courts, halls, sanctuaries and rooms duplicated for two sets of gods, the crocodile god Sobek et al, (and adjacent the temple is a museum containing mummified crocodiles). The other half of the temple is dedicated to the falcon god Horus the Elder et al. The Temple of Philae, constructed around 700 BC, was used up until 500 AD. It is located on the small island of Agilkia in the Nile between the Low Aswan Dam and the High Dam, having been moved from the nearby Philae Island where it was partly under water. We also saw the "Unfinished Obelisk" in the ancient stone quarries of Aswan.
