 This and the following mosaics are in The Great Palace Mosaic Museum (Turkish: Büyük Saray Mozaikleri Müzesi) located close to Sultanahmet Square. The mosaics, discovered in 1935, come from an extensive peristyle alongside the Sultanahmet Mosque dating back to AD550. |
