The Great Theatre held 25,000 and was built on the foot of Panayir mountain. It was built in the first century AD and later on it was renovated by several Roman Emperors. Harbour street in the right foreground was 500 metres long completely covered with marble,  towards the middle part there were four columns culminating in Corinthian capitals which upheld statues of the Four Evangelists.
