INDIA 2015 - RANAKPUR JAIN TEMPLE

Local legend has it that Dharma Shah, a local Jain businessperson, started construction of the famous temple in the 15th century following a divine vision. The temple honours Adinath, the first Tirthankar and founder of the Jain religion. The temple has four faces, while the interior is full of domes and columns, carvings and decoration.
