Both the Todra and neighbouring Dades
Rivers have
carved out cliff-sided canyons on their final 40 kilometres (25 mi)
through the mountains of the High Atlas. The last 600 metres of the
Todra Gorge (below) are the most spectacular. Here the canyon narrows,
with sheer rock walls up to 160 metres (525 ft) high on each side. |
